With over a decade of experience in the animal industry, my work blends formal education, veterinary knowledge, and hands-on training expertise into a thoughtful, modern approach to dog training.

I am a graduate of the University of Florida and Animal Behavior College, a Fear Free Certified Professional, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I am also an AKC Approved Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and STAR Puppy Evaluator through the American Kennel Club.

My background includes veterinary medicine, animal training, and professional animal care — allowing me to see the whole dog, not just the behavior. I specialize in creating calm confident puppies and well-mannered companions using thoughtful, science-based methods.

Hi, I’m Maddie

Our Approach

We use positive reinforcement and fear-free training methods grounded in behavioral science. Decades of research in learning theory show that animals repeat behaviors that are rewarded and avoid environments that feel unsafe. We help dogs build confidence, stay curious, and develop strong, trusting relationships with their humans. This approach creates a positive, stress-free learning environment where growth feels natural, fun, and lasting.

Positive reinforcement is proven by decades of research in learning theory and animal behavior to be the most effective way to teach new skills. By rewarding effort, curiosity, and success, we create an environment where learners feel motivated, confident, and excited to grow.

Fear Free Philosophy

Creating a safe, supportive space is at the heart of everything we do. Fear-free methods prioritize emotional wellbeing, so learners stay curious instead of anxious. By reducing stress and avoiding intimidation, we allow natural exploration and confidence-building, fostering strong bonds and lasting learning.
